Gods Promises in the Rain

1/7/2017

Every time it rains I think of Noah. I can't imagine what that would have been like and how long it took him to complete the task that God gave him. Take a moment today to be still, listen to that still small voice and ask God what your task is. And then the next time it rains, wait for the Rainbow. God has a promise for you!
Genesis 9:12-13
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth

No Room at the Inn

So Jesus was one of the first homeless people ever born. There was no room at the inn, no one had a place for them to stay. he was born in a cave, a barn used for animals. This Christmas try to do something for someone that has less. We need to always strive to know people that are struggling and be Jesus to them. Nothing feels better than seeing a smile on someones face when they receive a gift. This Christmas lets all try to be the light of the world that is Jesus!
Luke 2:6-8
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Religion is worthless

Great Message last night at Crossroads in Ridgecrest. Goes right in line with my message the last week and the rest of November. Religion is worthless. You want to make sure you get to Heaven? Know Jesus, have a relationship. Spend time everyday talking to him and listening to what he has to say in the Bible. Its not one and done, You can't say the sinners prayer and go "Checked that box, back to the party!" You have to wake up everyday and Choose Life!
Jeremiah 7:8-10
But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless.
“‘Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?

Heaven is our home

Stop, collaborate and listen... Seriously stop, listen to your heart, read this scripture and listen to your heart, how it feels when you think about a City that God has made for you. I feel a tug to be somewhere else. I know that I am sitting here at my earthly home, but I feel like there is somewhere else I am supposed to be. Whenever you feel like you are at your wits end, find your city, your home that God has made for you, and Know Peace is coming!
Hebrews 11:14-16
For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

Who do you work for?

Your life has been paid in full by the Blood of Jesus. This area of the bible is talking about who you were before you became a Christian. Were you a servant? Then your still a servant. Your Job does not change your faith, your faith should change your job. How you work and serve should be a direct reflection of the price that was paid for your soul. When you work for Jesus you have the BEST retirement plan, its out of this world!
1 Corinthians 7:23-24
You were paid with a price; do not become bondservants of men. So, brothers, in whatever condition each was called, there let him remain with God

What is our Responsibility?

1 Timothy 1:5
The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

So Simple!  There is not great mystery here. You want to change the world? Love someone that is hard to love. Be friends to someone that has no friends. Give to someone that have nothing to repay you. If we all did this it would change the world

Tearing down walls and building bridges

4/1/2016

As the Chaplin for D37 Racing series I find myself talking to hundreds of people and many of them have built this amazing wall around their heart. Each one is different but the purpose is basically the same, no more pain. No one is going to take advantage of me. I am not going to love someone and not have it reciprocated, not one more person is going to physically or mentally hurt me. Does this sound familiar? Can any of you relate to that? I know I can.

I wonder, if we as humans that have been made in Gods own image can so easily feel betrayed. How does God feel about being betrayed? I mean do you know any of the stories of Israel and how they built walls and turned their back on God, only to have him forgive them again and again.

Why do we turn to isolation when we are struggling in life? Why do we not reach out to others and even to God? What is it that turns our thoughts to desperation?

I think one of the biggest reasons we build walls in our life is anger. We let our anger at others or maybe even ourselves cause us to build up our defenses and shut out those that have hurt us. Sometimes we scheme on how to get back at them and trust me, those thoughts only lead to ulcers and bad hair days. Let it go, tear down the walls of anger and repay evil with good!

1 Thessalonians 5:15-18
See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

In order to tear down the walls in our life we have to know how to be content. Walls are made from fear and doubt, not love and contentment! The hardest thing for our human nature to do is to ask for help, to reach out and acknowledge that we have fallen short or made a mistake.  Many times it is because it was not our fault. We truly were victims of circumstance, but there is no reason to remain a victim.

Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me

You see as we acknowledge the need or issue we start to build bridges back to our family and friends, back to God. It is so important that we remember that we are a community. That walking with God, with Jesus, is about relationship. It’s not being religious, doting your eyes and crossing your tees. Its honesty, its faith, its doing the right thing because it brings you joy!

James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working

When we tear down relationship walls and build up bridges of faith and love in our life it is a very humbling thing, but that is exactly what God wants from us. He wants a Humble and Contrite heart

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land

Israel was going thru some hard times. They had King after King that just would not do what was right. They did things that were horrible and choose to disobey God in all there actions. But finally King Hezekiah comes to reign and he cleanses the temple and sends word to all the land that Passover would be observed. When they celebrated that Passover it involved so many offerings that they had to make more priests to handle the duty as the country had been living in sin for so long.

2 Chronicles 30:8-9
Do not now be stiff- necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you. For if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children will find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him

Many People don’t realize, but the truth is that as the Lamb was slain in the first Passover, and that blood was placed upon the doors of the Jews so that the spirit of death would Passover Israel. So was the Blood of Jesus shed so that you would live again. Its not just symbolic, God has always demanded a sacrifice for sin. Remember God wants to have you in his life so bad that he gave his own son so that you could have a relationship!

And so we are back to today, Easter, the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. On Passover he was hung on a cross after being tried and beaten. He was pierced for our inequities, he died for our sins. He was the last Passover lamb and it is why we call him the Lamb of God.  It’s now Sunday morning and Mary and his disciples are weary, but Mary has to prepare her master for what she feels will be his eternal rest and Boom.

Mathew 28:1-6
Now after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were shaken and became like dead men because they were so afraid of him. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised, just as he said. Come and see the place where he was lying”

The stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty all of the pain and misery that Mary and the disciples have been feeling is now fading away. Can you imagine the walls that Jesus followers might have been building as they were faced with the possibility that it was all a lie, or at least not what they thought it would be.  Doubt, fear persecution were all starting to show on their face and Boom, the stone was rolled away. Haven’t we all faced this in our life? Maybe we still face this in days to come? But fear not

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

As we wind up today I want to encourage you on how to apply this to your life
The only walls we should have in our life are the ones that protect us from Evil. But what God wants from us, is to stand outside the wall, and to be the shield for the Lost. To stand in the Gap between Good and Evil and to fight for those that are not able to fight for themselves. The war for our souls will not be fought with weapons of mass destruction; it will be of apathy and lack of character. To fight you will need the sword of the spirit, the helmet of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. Stay in Gods word and pray and Victory will belong to the Lord.

Ezekiel 22:30
“I looked for a man from among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.

I do not want that to be the case for our generation. When God looks down let him see us that are faithful.  Trust in him and fight for our family and our faith.

Lets Pray

Having a Vision

7/17/2015

Picture

As the Chaplin for Team True Racing and D37 and the NHHA. I have spent the last ten years of my life doing what ever I could to change the world one racer at a time. You see I feel the greatest accomplishment that any one can have in life is to give them the vision of Jesus Christ.

We have come to the point in our walk on this earth where it truly has become good verses evil. I am going to share just a few verses from Gods Word and my vision for what I feel could be a game changer in the Off Road world.

2 timothy 3:16  All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work

I start with this because it sets the pace that Gods word is the base that all conversations should start, if we are going to seek Vision from God we need to look to the bible for a direction.

1Samuel 3:15 says this;

And Samuel kept where he was, not moving till the time came for opening the doors of the house of God in the morning. And fear kept him from giving Eli an account of his vision.

All of us have the ability to dream, to seek Gods counsel and try to grasp the plans he has for us. Sometimes we get the vision so strongly that it almost floors us. When Samuel heard from God it was overwhelming, he actually had fear to tell Eli what God had told him. Its that same fear that keeps many of us from going forth and doing what God has called us to do. We do not want the world, or our friends or possible even our finances to be effected. Its real fear, it’s a fact that following the path has set for you can be life changing, possible even ending. But that is what we are called to do, to be changers, to make a difference.

Proverbs 29:18 says this;

Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.

Can you imagine if everyone that raced dirt bikes had a clear vision from God for their lives? We are talking about some of the hardest working people in the world. They are dedicated almost to a fault, and have to be to be on top. Now see those people all-driving towards serving the Kingdom of God?  Powerful.

I challenge you today with this thought. If not now when? I have asked many of my Christian friends about where we are in history and all of us feel that we are living on the edge of something big. End Times? Revival? I don’t know for sure, but I know this, God is calling to his children.

Ezekiel 12:27-28

Son of man, see, the children of Israel say, The vision which he sees is for the days which are a long way off, and his words are of times still far away. Say to them then, This is what the Lord has said: Not one of my words will be put off any longer, but what I say I will do, says the Lord

Again I ask you if not now when? Everyday I walk up and feel this need to tell people about Jesus, that there is hope and it is not of this world but of something bigger. We all have reached a place in our life where we want to be part of something bigger. Why not be part of what God is doing?

Team True Racing has the trademark of TTR with the middle T being a cross and underneath that is says Fear Not. That is my mantra these days. I am not ready to go forth God! Fear Not, I am not a good preacher God, Fear not.  I have such a horrible past! Fear not.  I have sin in my life God, Fear not. In all things I am more than a conqueror not because of my strength but because of my faith in Jesus. Even Paul had issues with his life in Christ but God gave him a clear vision.

Acts 18:9-10

And the Lord said to Paul in the night, in a vision, Have no fear and go on preaching: For I am with you, and no one will make an attack on you to do you damage.

Today as you all sit here and seek Gods wisdom for what the Christian Racing community wants to do to make a difference I want you to remember that if God is the head of this we have nothing to fear.  I will end with one final verse and then ask you guys to pray.

1 John 5:20

And we are certain that the Son of God has come, and has given us a clear vision, so that we may see him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life

Starting Fires….

Today the last Youth National Hare and Hound has been moved to Sunday the 26th of October.
I am so dissapointed that the Kids now have to share there day with the Big Kids. Please understand that it is not the Clubs fault. This puts a huge burden on them and Erek Kudla and the youth NHHA crew and frankly I am just sick about it. Who is to Blame for this? Who can we point a finger at and Scream?
Its our fault…. We have allowed our government and BLM to ruin everything we hold dear.  We have an election in about 3 weeks. Its time to vote your motorcycle. If your candidate does not support the equal use of public lands then you cannot vote for them. Go to the AMA website and search Vote your Motorcycle. Look for your candidates and see how they feel about our issues. We can't  just let it go, its time to fight and get involved. go to www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/recreation/recpermit.html and start reading about the rules of permitting. Its time to start beating them at there own game.
I want my grandson to be able to race all the days of his life in the desert his pop pop races in...
